Eat Lift Sleep · Last updated October 24, 2026

The short version

Eat Lift Sleep keeps your food, workouts, sleep, weight and goals so it can show your progress and coach you. Your data is yours. We never sell it, never use it for ads, and never share it with anyone you haven’t chosen to share it with. The foods you log help build a shared food database (just the foods and their numbers, never who logged them), unless you turn that off in Me > Privacy.

What we keep

Your account: name, email, username, phone number (optional), birthday, sex, height and activity level.

What you log: meals and drinks, photos and screenshots you send to the meal reader, workouts (including photos of a machine screen, kept privately with that workout), sleep, weight, goals, your pantry, saved meals and restaurants.

From a watch, if you connect one: workouts, heart rate, heart-rate zones, sleep stages, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability (HRV) and breathing rate, read from Apple Health with your permission.

Coach chats, the preferences you save, and your allergies and food notes.

Your approximate location (rounded to about 100 m), only while you use the app and only if you turn it on, to find restaurants and stores near you. It isn’t stored.

Feedback and problem reports you send from Me > Send feedback or Report a problem, with your name, email, the app version, your iPhone’s iOS version, your theme, any screenshot you attach, and the last few errors the app hit on your phone. They’re emailed to us so we can answer and fix things.

Error reports: if something in the app breaks or fails to save, the app sends us what went wrong, on which screen, the app version and your iOS version, linked to your account. They describe the error, not what you logged.

Basic usage counts (how many photo reads and coach messages you send) so the app can apply its weekly limits.

How you use the app: when you open it, which screens you visit, how you log food (photo, barcode, search and so on) and when you add water, workouts or a weigh-in, with the app version and theme. Never what you typed or ate.

How it’s used

To show your logs, totals and trends, and to suggest targets.

To answer you in the Coach. When you send a message or a photo, the relevant part of your data (your goal, recent logs, sleep and workouts, allergies and preferences) is sent to Anthropic’s Claude AI service to write the reply or read the photo. Anthropic processes it to provide the service and does not use it to train its models.

If coach check-ins are on, the same kind of summary is sent to Claude once each morning and once each Sunday so the coach can write your note. Turn them off in Me > Check-ins.

To improve the app: we look at how it’s used (activity, which features are used, your age range, sex and goal, and how often logged numbers need fixing), across everyone and per account. Only the people who run the app see this, and they can open one account’s logs (food, water, workouts, sleep and weight on a given day) to understand how it’s used, check accuracy and fix problems. It’s never sold, shared or used for ads.

Data from Apple Health is used only to show your workouts and sleep and to coach you. It is never used for advertising or sold, and it is never shared with anyone except as described here.

Who else sees it

People you connect with in Friends and family see your name, allergies and food notes. If you put someone in your household, their coach can also see your goal and today’s food, so it can plan meals for your home. Your birthday is used only to tell people apart for the coach (like an older or younger brother) and is never shown.

Inner Circle is always both ways and needs both people to approve. Members see each other’s daily food totals (calories and macros), workouts (kind, minutes and miles) and sleep (hours and score), from the day they joined. Never individual foods, weight or notes. Either person can leave at any time, which ends it for both.

Service providers that run the app for us: Supabase (database and sign-in, data encrypted in storage and in transit), Anthropic (the Coach and photo reading), Expo (app updates and notifications), Resend (emails your feedback and error reports to us), and Apple (if you connect Apple Health). Food lookups send only the food name or barcode to USDA FoodData Central, Open Food Facts and fatsecret (through our server, so they never see who you are). Nearby searches send your rounded location to OpenStreetMap services.

The shared food database: when Share my food data is on (it is unless you turn it off in Me > Privacy), the foods you log and the numbers you fix (the food’s name, restaurant or brand, portion and nutrition) are added to a food database that everyone’s search and the meal reader use. Other people see only the food and its numbers, never who logged it or when. Turning it off stops anything new from being added; deleting your account removes your link to anything you added.

Nobody else. We don’t sell data, share it with advertisers or data brokers, or use it for ads.

Your choices

Edit or delete any entry in the app.

Disconnect Apple Health in Me > Watches, and remove the app’s access in the iPhone Settings app under Health > Data Access & Devices.

Turn location off in the iPhone Settings app.

Turn coach check-ins and notifications off in Me > Check-ins.

Turn Share my food data off in Me > Privacy.

Delete your account in Me > Delete my account. This permanently removes your account and everything you’ve logged within a few seconds. Copies in backups are removed when those backups expire.

Health advice

The Coach gives general wellness information, not medical advice. It isn’t a doctor and can be wrong. Talk to a doctor before big changes to your diet or training, and about anything that feels like a medical problem.

Children

Eat Lift Sleep is for people 13 and older. Children under 13 shouldn’t create an account.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the app will show the new date at the top. For questions or a copy of your data, write to us at nodaysoffapp@gmail.com.
